The Provincial Cycling Centre is not just an ideal place to take a break on the yellow cycling route; it is also an active cycling hub.
Try and beat Eddy Merckx’s time record and experience the speed and the kick of cycling on the 333-metre track. Racing bikes and helmets can be rented for a small fee at the centre. Reservations are not required if you just want to cycle a few laps. During opening hours you can use the track for €2.
If you’d like to learn the ‘tips and tricks’ of the trade, take an initiation course in cycling with an experienced trainer. You will learn how to enter bends, pick up speed on the bends, cycle in groups and about cycling technique for the track. A must-have experience for any amateur cyclist and sports enthusiast! Initiation training must of course be booked in advance. Each participant pays €4 (minimum 5 participants, maximum 20). If you would like to rent a racing bike and helmet, this will cost an extra €4.
However, if you just want to watch, come and sit in the cosy cafe with a view of the cycling track and BMX circuit. You can enjoy a drink and eat your sandwiches here (drinks must be bought in the cafe).
